Venture West is offering 2 exciting trips to some of the most beautiful destinations in Europe.

This hiker’s dream takes you into the heart of Nepal to view the Himalayas and offers an opportunity to interact with the people and their culture. On this adventure, a 15 day trek, you’ll climb century old footpaths on this classic trek to the Annapurna Basin at 13,000 feet. You'll see up close, some of Nepal's most amazing mountain scenery and all you carry is your own day pack. This will be our 7th year to trek in this amazing country. Picture yourself; snow covered Himalayas in view, awakening each morning to a cheery Namaste (the native greeting), warm wash water and a cup of hot tea.

• Local naturalists and guides when possible
• All meals (alcoholic drinks not included)
• Gear on camping trips (tents, stoves, first aid, etc.)
• Canoes and kayaks
• Lodging; double occupancy (single accommodations at additional cost)
• Van transportation from airports (excluding on midwest trips)
• A trip itinerary, group list and packing list

REGISTRATION:
• Mail the registration form along with a $200.00 non-refundable deposit.
• The balance is due 4 weeks prior to departure. At 14 days before
• departure there are no refunds unless the space can be filled.
• The $200 deposit may be applied to another trip within one year.
• If Venture West cancels a trip, all your money will be promptly refunded.
• When registration is received, we'll send a confirmation and trip itinerary.
• Four weeks before the trip you will receive a group list, trip letter
• and packing list.

Where do we meet to start the trip?: We meet at airport destinations listed in the catalog by mid afternoon. All van transportation and shuttles are included in the Venture West trip fee. We spend the last night at a motel close to the airport so you can book a flight according to personal schedules and convenience.

What/how should I pack?: We recommend you pack personal gear in a duffel bag. A soft pack allows greater flexibility when we pack the van. You'll receive a specific gear list for each trip and we recommend traveling "lightly".

What is the average age of Venture West travelers?: Sometimes we see
folks in their 20s, but most of us are over 40 and often in our 50s and 60s. Many adventuresome travelers in their 70s and 80s have joined us. Our groups are always a delightful mix of ages.

What gender are most of your travelers?: Venture West is a co-ed business. We see more women than men and a balance of married and singles. Yes - you can come alone - most do.

Can I book single accommodations?: For an additional fee you can request single accommodations. Costs vary per trip. Call us for more information.

What is the difficulty level of Venture West trips: You can keep up, if you're reasonably fit. These trips are designed to be relaxing, educational, entertaining, inspirational and invigorating. They are not competitive events! A leisurely pace and a guide at the end of the line guarantees everyone finishes the day with a smile. Specific details are included in the individual trip itineraries.

What can I expect from a Venture West trip?: Just take a deep breath and leave the world behind. For a week, let us take care of the details while you
relax and enjoy the scenery, good conversation, tasty meals and the feeling of accomplishment that comes at the end of a day spent outdoors in wholesome activity. After a week you'll return home relaxed, refreshed and ready to plan
