Annapurna Basin, Nepal November 4 - November 22, 2008 If you're reasonable fit, join us for this once in a lifetime trek. You'll walk past terraced rice paddies, alongside rearing rivers and through remote villages. Then you'll climb century old footpaths into rhododendron forests where you'll be dwarfed by massive trees. This classic trek combines remote and seldom seen villages with soaring peaks. We begin at 4000 feet at Pokhara and climb to our highest camp at 13,000 feet, where you'll be surrounded by 26,000 peaks, all snow covered and massive. The scenery will astound you, waterfalls everywhere and in every direction, the Himalayas. You'll hike to the Machhapuchare base camp at 11,500 feet and day hike to the Annapurna Sanctuary at 13,100 feet. You will see the best "accessible" mountain scenery in Nepal and all you carry is your own day pack!
