In spring we travel to Smoky Mountains National Park for gentle mountain vistas, wild rivers and the April flowers. You'll see painted trillium, birdsfoot violet, masses of Dutchman's breeches and acres of fringed phacelia.

We meet at a hotel in Knoxville the first night and you're on the trail the next morning. We stay at an elegant inn in the mountains and enjoy wine each evening on the screened porch overlooking those mountains.

Hikes include Albright Nature trail with its giant trees, many waterfalls and lovely strolls through the old growth forests.
