A Poetic Journey - October 13th - 17th, 2010 This trip offers a new twist on a familiar journey to Pictured Rocks alongside Lake Superior in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. We’ve shortened the hikes to five-six miles leaving time for you to write a poem, listen to a story, sketch a flower, or to simply sit and admire the scenery. Pam Parker from Redbird-Red Oak Studio will join us to inspire writers, poets and artists to express their thoughts as we explore this diverse area. You’ll see towering cliffs, driftwood strewn beaches, sand dunes, waterfalls and sparkling cascades. Each day as you hike in a different section of the Lakeshore, we’ll leave time for you to sit and contemplate. Cabins adjacent to Lake Superior will be your home for four nights. Transportation available from Milwaukee for an additional $50.00.October 13 - Meet at the Sunset Resort at 5:00 (Michigan time) We’ll take a short hike to Miner’s Falls. October 14 - We’ll hike to the mouth of the Mosquito River by Lake Superior on a loop passing Mosquito Falls then, spend some time there before heading back on a different trail.
